Christie’s Magificent Jewels in New York April 16

A pair of D color, internally flawless type IIa diamond drop earrings weighing 22.60 and 22.31 carats and set in platinum, sold for $8,565,000.
Christie’s kicked off their spring auction season in New York with a +$60 million sale.

A 6.10-carat type IIa pink diamond set in a platinum and 18k rose gold ring with baguette diamonds by Harry Winston, sold for $5,765,000

A 40.43-carat, D color, type IIa oval diamond and platinum ring, sold for $7,669,000

A necklace featuring a 24.53-carat, D color, type IIa, pear-shaped diamond pendant on a platinum chain, sold for $2,225,000.

A 2.49-carat yellowish green diamond in a diamond-set platinum ring by JAR, sold for $1,805,000.

A 15.75-carat vivid yellow diamond in a diamond pavé-set platinum ring by JAR, sold for $809,000.

An emerald and diamond brooch by Van Cleef & Arpels, featuring a 7.77-carat central emerald, sold for $425,000

A 50.05-carat briolette D color, flawless diamond with a $5.5 – $7.5 million estimate failed to sell.

A 20.10-carat D color diamond set in a platinum ring with tapered baguette diamonds, sold for $2,461,000.
A large ruby and diamond necklace by James W. Currens for Fai Dee known as the ‘Red Emperor’.

Composed of 104.51 carats of exceptional heart and pear-shaped rubies with 59.05 carats of diamonds. This necklace sold for $9.9 million at Sotheby’s Magnificent Jewels Hong Kong April 7 Auction.
