357-Carat Letsĕng White Diamond Sold for $19 Million

(IDEX Online News) – Gem Diamonds Ltd has announced the sale of an exceptional 357 carat white diamond, found at its Letsĕng mine in Lesotho in July, for $19.3m at Tender in Antwerp.

"The Letšeng mine has produced two remarkable +300 carat diamonds during the year to date. The 314 carat diamond was recovered in May 2015 and sold in June 2015.

Gem Diamonds owns 70 percent of the Letšeng mine and 100 percent of the Ghagoo mine in Botswana. The Letšeng mine is the highest dollar per carat kimberlite diamond mine in the world.
